Stripe It Rich

Theresa and Joe Remacle of Altoona wanted a face lift for their living room.  It started with a request for new paint and window treatment.  After a visit to look at the room, I thought the paint color was nice; the line just needed cleaned up a bit where it met the ceiling.  I took that opportunity to bring in some additional color that was present in adjacent rooms.  Their beloved dogs had damaged the cushions of the furniture a bit, so I suggested I make slipcovers to match the fabric of the drapes.  A stripe made its way around the room and continued on the drapes, which open and close fully.  Coordinating pillows unified the whole scheme.  A few pieces of furniture were rearranged slightly and a new piece made its way into the room, a shelf unit made from repurposed drawers.  New rugs for the entryway and a new lamp took their place in the room as well.
