Creating an Outdoor Space

This is a space I did for a client who wanted the area under her deck to be a nice private place to sit.  She had an existing potting bench that had a great aluminum top and the wood had a wonderful aged patina but the drawers didn't function and neither did the bin for the dirt as the slotted top collected water making, you guessed it, mud!  A little TLC and the bench was given a new lease on life.  The space got a wood lattice wall for privacy that consisted of two sizes of stained lattice as well as a canvas drape to draw across for additional privacy.  A fresh coat of paint, a repurposed shadow box and a vintage rusty rake to hold garden tools complete the back wall.  Two vintage chairs were painted to compliment the pillows that the client already owned and were also the inspiration for the floor cloth.  She loved the lime color and wanted to accent it with blue. Other items of interest in the space are the custom glass art pieces consisting of a totem, a repurposed planter and mason jar chandelier, plate flower and mason jar solar lights.  A lace curtain secured on vintage coat hooks with burlap ribbon make a sweet opportunity for additional privacy.
